In The Community
Supporting our community means more than just providing state of the art orthodontic treatment and care. It also means that we are focused on understanding the needs of our local population, schools, businesses, clubs, and places of religious worship. As a business, we are more successful when our community as a whole is successful.
Each year, we choose many athletic teams, organizations, and individuals to support. That support can be financial or through the donation of products, services, or our time. The value of our annual contributions has been well over $30,000 each year. We are proud to support our community with a portion of our profits or our services, and we feel we have been repaid ten fold by the positive benefits of our support.
Coats for a Cause
In September and October we are collecting winter coats/warm clothes to be donated to needy families in Phoenix. Our goal is 100 coats and if we succeeded Dr. Hoffman has agreed to get “pied in the face”. Please help us reach our goal.

Arizona Orthodontic Studio wants to help kids go back to school with everything that they need. Dr. Hoffman will purchase all the backpacks and would love for you to participate in filling them up with back to school supplies. Here is a list of items that are needed but it is not limited to the following:
•#2 wooden pencils • Pink Erasers • Crayons • White Glue • Scissors • Supply Boxes • Spiral Notebooks • Markers • Pocket Folders Black, Blue, Red Pens • Rulers • Highlighters • Kleenex • Glue Sticks • Binders (1-3’) • Mechanical Pencils • Pencil Sharpeners • Index Cards
This year we had a competition between 3 local schools to see which school could collect the most Halloween candy to be donated to Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude is an organization that creates care packages for US troops overseas. Arizona Orthodontic Studio donated $500 to the PTO of the school that collected the most candy and the students collected over 3800 pounds of candy.

Smiles for Schools Fundraiser
For 2014, we would like to try something different. Due to the difficult economic times, our local schools are suffering dramatic cuts in funding for important programs. We would like to be a business that supports our schools in their important mission to educate our children. In 2014 we will donate $100 to the schools of our patients who start full orthodontic treatment in our office. This type of direct giving to schools will be something new and unprecedented in our office. Similar programs are in existence at a small number of offices around the country and we immediately admired these offices for their dedication to their patients. Our office believes that our annual contributions would best serve our community if they were placed directly into the school programs that need it most. We are proud to present this offer to our patients and we are hopeful that the money will be put good use immediately.
